Terms & Conditions

Last updated: August 19, 2026

These terms cover your use of MD to PDF, the free Markdown-to-PDF and PDF-to-Markdown converter at convertmarkdowntopdf.com. They are intentionally short, because the service is simple: a tool that runs in your browser, with no account and nothing stored.

Acceptance

By using the converter you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. Continued use after any revision means you accept the updated version.

The service

MD to PDF provides browser-based conversion in two directions: Markdown to PDF, and text-based PDF to Markdown. It is offered free of charge, with no account required and no usage quota. It is provided on an as-available basis — the site may change, be interrupted for maintenance, or be discontinued without notice.

Your content and ownership

You keep full ownership of everything you paste, upload, or generate. No licence, right, or claim over your material is asserted by this site. As explained in the privacy policy, conversion happens locally in your browser, so your content is never received or stored in the first place.

You are responsible for having the right to use and convert the material you input. Do not use the tool to process content you are not permitted to copy, adapt, or distribute.

Acceptable use

Use the converter for lawful document conversion. Specifically, do not:

  • Process or distribute unlawful, infringing, or malicious content
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the site's operation
  • Reverse-engineer or repackage the site to misrepresent it as your own service
  • Use automated systems to abuse the site in a way that degrades it for others

Accuracy and no warranty

The tool is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Markdown rendering and PDF text extraction are automated processes. They may not preserve every formatting detail — particularly with scanned PDFs, multi-column layouts, complex tables, or non-standard Markdown syntax. Always review the preview or the converted output before relying on it for anything important.

In short: check the result before you send it. Automated conversion is a starting point, not a guarantee.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MD to PDF is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the tool — including lost data, formatting errors in converted documents, or business losses. You use the converter at your own risk and should keep your own backups of important files.

Third-party services

The site loads web fonts from Google Fonts. That service operates under its own terms and privacy policy, which are outside the control of this site.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be revised as the tool develops. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above. The current version on this page is always the one that applies.
